    Description
    Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - LA

    I'm currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a fast-growing private technology Space company who design, develop and operate a variety of different space equipment


    Responsibilities:


    Takes full ownership of the mechanical development of top-level flight hardware, beginning with preliminary design and proceeding through analysis, fabrication, assembly, integration, and test.

    Develops CAD models using SolidWorks, integrating subcontractor CAD models of subassembly components, such as optics/mechanisms, with electronics and other mission-specific components like thermal hardware, dynamic isolators, or stray-light mitigation baffles.

    Designs thermal systems (in coordination with electronics designers) that meet requirements in planetary orbital and/or surface environments.
    Performs tolerance analysis for components and assemblies, ensuring components fit under worst-case

    Experience required
    Must have experience in the Space or Aerospace sector
    Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Astronautical Engineering.
    Experience using SolidWorks.
    Spacecraft design experience
    Experience preforming Analysis
