This position is part of the Vibrational Spectroscopy business within Chemical Analysis Division (CAD). Thermo Fisher is a market leader in analytical instrumentation involving vibrational spectroscopic analysis of molecular structure. The Product manager will be a member of product teams from the Madison, Wisconsin facility.


Job Summary:


Responsibilities:


  • Manage worldwide supply, demand, revenue, margin and pricing for the Process spectroscopy product portfolio.
  • Manage collaborations with commercial partners and key customers to drive growth in Pharmaceutical, Chemical and semi/electronics manufacturing segments.
  • Analyze market trends, customer requirements and competitive strategy, and seek opportunities for growing customer and business value through product differentiation.
  • Represent the customer perspective in the new product development process from concept through commercialization, including voice of customer research, definition of customer and product requirements and value proposition, formulating and communicating global launch plans including commercialization strategy, public presentations, competitive analysis, forecasting and positioning.
  • Provide productspecific technical and marketing support to field sales organizations and channel partners.
  • Contribute to overarching Vibrational Spectroscopy process product strategy and roadmap.

Education:


  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S./B. A.) in a Chemistry, Material Science or engineering related field from a fouryear college or university or higher degree

Experience

  • Expert in industrial automation protocol and Chemometrics model development
  • Experience in industrial gas analysis is a plus.

  • Customercentric and keenly aware of markets, trends and competitors
  • Successful track record in launching/positioning products and services
  • Knows how to convert market intelligence into valued added features and products.
  • Comfortable working with highly technical scientists and engineers as well as customers
  • Excellent problemsolving skills with attention to detail; ability to step back and analyze the overall business impact and act with accountability.
