Description

The NDS coordinator reports to the principal and to Nutritional Development Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and is responsible for providing breakfast, lunch, and snacks for students in PK - Grade 8.

The NDS coordinator maintains records, orders, and communicates cafeteria programs to the entire school community.


Responsibilities:

  • Comply with the guidelines of the Office of Catholic Education, Standards of Ministerial Behavior and Boundaries, and of the local school detailed in the Faculty and Staff Handbook.
  • Understand the Archdiocesan Elementary Schools Policies and Procedures suggested by the Office of Catholic Education.
  • Oversee breakfast and lunch service.
  • Organize snack service for CARES staff.
  • Manage food orders and oversee inventory.
  • Prepare and set up a serving line for meals.
  • Ensure equipment is well-maintained and follow a thorough cleaning routine.
  • Keep up-to-date with all health department inspection reports.
  • Maintain a professional and appropriate appearance.
  • Perform any additional duties as required by the school principal.

Essential Functions:

  • Foster a professional and respectful environment among faculty, staff, and administration by avoiding criticism in front of students or parents, speaking kindly to others, and including all members of the community.
  • Create an environment where students are supported in their spiritual and personal growth, embracing Catholic values and virtues such as integrity, honesty, maturity, and responsibility, setting them up for success.
  • Adhere to proper boundaries between students/parents and teachers in all forms of communication, technology, and finances.
  • Follow safety and security protocols diligently and promptly report any concerns to the administration.

  • Capable of managing schedules, multitasking, and handling unforeseen situations with creativity and confidence

Requirements:

  • FBI Fingerprint
  • PA Child Abuse Clearance
  • Criminal Background Check
  • Completion of Safe Environment Training
  • Submission of all necessary documents to Nutritional Development Services.
  • Fulfill all mandatory documents required by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Compensation:
$30,000.00 annually

Schedule:

  • Full-time position with an 8-hour shift
  • Day shift from Monday to Friday
  • Weekends off
