SUMMARY

The Accounting Clerk position is a part-time member of the Firm's internal Corporate Services department whose primary responsibilities are processing Accounts Payable as well as assisting with General Ledger reconciliations and Month-end closings.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepare bank deposits.
  • Make deposits at the bank for Firm Accounting/Corp Service deposits.
  • Perform data entry and maintain updated records while working paperless.
  • Accurately analyze, code, and process vendor invoices for review.
  • Analyze and reconcile AP invoice discrepancies.
  • Organize and open mail addressed to Firm Accounting.
  • Scan & create PDF documents from incoming mail and inner office documents routed to FA (excluding payroll related items).
  • File PDF documents accordingly.
  • Provide overall support to the department.
  • Generate data reports for the Controller and COO.
  • Assist with adhoc requests.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting preferred.


COMPUTER SKILLS
Must have basic computer skills to function within a computer-driven environment. The employee is expected to take initiative to achieve competency with the Firm-authorized software.
