DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The Manager of the Cath Lab is a professional responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Cath Lab. In conjunction and collaboration with the Director of Cardiovascular Services, the manager will direct, implement, and evaluate programs and patient care within the assigned areas of responsibility. The manager supervises staff in the operations of the Cath Lab and has 24 hour accountability. The manager is expected to step in and assist with clinical care in high acuity or high volume times.
QUALIFICATIONS

Professional/Educational- Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.

RN Licensure in the state of Illinois.
Five years of healthcare experience with at least three of them being in a Charge RN or Supervisor role in a related nursing department.
Current CPR required. ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire date.
LEAN certificate or experience preferred.
Certified as a nurse leader & manager preferred.
DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to exhibit / promote progressive management skills in order to facilitate change.
Ability to envision the whole picture while focusing on major issues.
Demonstrated flexibility and dedication to team involvement.
Capable of accepting new challenges and development of programs from start to finish.
Selfdirected with sound decision making and communication skills.
Ability to promote team building skills and to empower and engage others to be the best they can be.
