Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. As a Maintenance Person, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of our facilities. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.


Duties:


  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC units
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them promptly
  • Respond to maintenance requests from staff and tenants in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions
  • Supervise and coordinate with external contractors when necessary
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Fabricate or modify parts as needed
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring and circuitry
  • Familiarity with schematics and logic controllers
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
  • Customer serviceoriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

Note:
This is a paid position. Internship positions must also be compensated accordingly.


Job Type:
Part-time


Pay:
$ $19.50 per hour


Experience:


  • Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Geneseo, IL required)

Ability to Relocate:
