Summary:


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, paperwork flow, and records retention.
  • Designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality issues.
  • Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating test data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
  • Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
  • Acts as the primary interface for all customer 1st article inspections and source inspections.
  • Supervises inspection employees and ensures that all documentation is current, accurate and complete before presenting information to the customer or shipping product.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervises either inspectors and/or final inspectors. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the quality staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Education and/or Experience:


A bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; three to five years related experience in quality; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS9100 policies and procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Pay:
$82, $105,000.00 per year
