Description
The Nutrition Program Specialist- Project Manager 1 position in the Nutrition and Physical Fitness Bureau of the Department of Health (DC Health) is responsible for developing and executing effective communication strategies to inform and educate the public about the division's initiatives and priorities. They will also perform consultative work on behalf of various federal and local healthy food access initiatives and programs. The position requires experience in project management, program planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating program goals, as well as knowledge of food systems, farmers markets, and federal nutrition program benefit payment systems. The incumbent will draft and deliver communications materials, work collaboratively with stakeholders, analyze the effectiveness of health communication initiatives, aggregate and analyze data, and develop evaluation plans.
