    **Job Summary:**

    We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our professional culinary team for a new restaurant opening in June. We are looking for talented and experienced individuals seeking a new challenge and that enjoy working in a dynamic environment. The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.

    **Responsibilities:*

    Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation

    Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards

    Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks effectively

    Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies

    Monitor food costs and work towards budgetary goals

    Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper techniques and procedures

    Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers

    **Requirements:**

    Proven experience in a similar role within the food industry

    In-depth knowledge of food preparation, management, and catering practices

    Strong understanding of food safety regulations

    Ability to lead a team effectively and foster a collaborative work environment

    Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff and management

    Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

    Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
