- Remove food trays from carts, dining rooms, etc.; keep work areas clean, dry and free of hazardous items
- Assist in establishing food service production line to ensure that meals are prepared on time
- Dispose of garbage and trash, keep work areas clean, dry and free of hazardous items
- Participate in surveys made by authorized government agencies
- Follow established safety and infection control regulations and policies
- Report disrepair of kitchen and dietary appliances, equipment, etc.
- Report accidents and incidents to supervisor immediately in all situations
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information and facility business
- Report complaints and grievances to supervisor
- Successful completion of required training
- Work is typically performed in a standard long-term facility environment; o Occasional increased temperatures while working in dish room;
- Position may require flexible hours or unscheduled overtime
