Position Summary
The Product Development Technician performs activities to accelerate Product Development (PD) projects through testing, formulation and/or coating trials. The Product Development Technician reports to the Manager - Product Development. The position regularly interacts with other PD groups, facilities and environmental health and safety.


Responsibilities & Duties

  • Carries out duties in accordance with applicable laboratory, chemical hygiene, and safety Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Formulation work includes but not limited to dispensing, blending, tableting and coating processes.
  • Prepares chemical solutions and reagents needed to perform laboratory testing.
  • Carries out pH, viscosity, loss on drying and other laboratory testing to support PD projects.
  • Provide operational support for equipment operation, collecting data, preparing batches for stability.
  • Completes all documentations according to Good Laboratory Practices.

Required Qualifications:


  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of prior laboratory / GMP experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills required.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Basic Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, required.
  • Ability to lift and move 50 pounds, unassisted, required.
