Studio Gang - Designer

Qualifications0 to 5+ years' experience* -Professional or Master's degree in Architecture preferred

  • Bachelor's degree considered
  • Licensure optional

Essential Job Functions


A Designer I will, with the direction and guidance of others, perform a variety of assignments on all project types.

Team members at this level are focused on developing and improving techniques and procedures.

  • Contributes to design and design ideas
  • Responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned project, including: investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions
  • May provide professional architectural consultation in the planning design and coordination of projects

Example assignments include:

performing analysis of design, planning, and occupancy studies; programming studies; physical modeling; diagramming; vignette rendering; preparing limited design layouts; contributing to project specifications; compiling and analyzing relevant data; writing reports; documenting meetings; reviewing conceptual designs, plans, estimates, and calculations; developing drawings for presentation and publication.


Skills and Experience
A Designer I has a basic competency in all conventional aspects of architecture and is beginning to develop proficiency in our

Studio Petals:
design, project management, engagement, and collaboration.


Requirements:

Current enrollment in or recent graduation from accredited architecture program

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, strong knowledge of drafting and 3D rendering (Revit, Rhino)
  • Excellent study and or/presentation skills
  • Experience developing design options that communicate clear concepts
  • Highly motivated with strong verbal and graphic communication skills
  • Desire and ability to thrive in collaborative, creative and open studio environment
  • Can demonstrate understanding of design philosophy and relate assigned tasks to that philosophy
**This position will be in person in one of our offices.
