PROJECT COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTION


Are you ready to create a brighter energy future as part of a passionate and purpose-driven organization? The Energy Coalition (TEC) seeks a Project Coordinator (PC) to join our Marketing, Education, and Outreach (ME&O) team.

Your placement would be in either TEC's downtown Los Angeles office or Irvine office and you are welcome to work remotely as needed.


This PC will provide administrative assistance with a specific focus on community engagement & outreach activities to support the development and delivery of clean energy projects across a growing portfolio of programs.

These include the _Healthy Stores Refrigeration Program_, _Pomona ACTS_ project, and others that engage the collective action of communities to save energy and money while protecting their valuable resources.

The Healthy Stores Refrigeration Program helps small businesses in Los Angeles' food deserts replace existing, inefficient refrigerators with energy-efficient models to fill with California-grown healthy food.

The Pomona ACTS program is designed to promote healthy, resilient, and energy-efficient renter households.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Primary Responsibilities

Build and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential program participants and stakeholders, such as small businesses, community organizations, strategic partners, and subcontractors/vendors

Handle administrative activities such as scheduling and supporting the facilitation of meetings and events, developing program correspondence including reports, presentations, agendas, and meeting minutes, supporting grant administration activities, and ordering equipment and supplies

Assist in tracking, reporting, and analysis of metrics related to program goals, deliverables, and objectives by using tracking templates and customer relationship management (CRM) databases

Conduct research to inform program activities

Utilize Google Sheet/Excel for data analysis, including developing surveys and analyzing results.

Conduct outreach to residents, small businesses, and program partners.

Other Duties

  • Produce regularly scheduled updates and reports on the progress of assigned projects
  • Develop a solid comprehension of program components and initiatives, organize and communicate relevant program documents
  • Serve as a companywide resource for TEC

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks to support various team members
  • Ability to complete assignments independently in a thorough, accurate and timely manner
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience staffing event booths at community events preferred
  • Relevant work experience in the energy efficiency and sustainability industry is preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills. Proficient in English (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency in writing reports and business correspondence
  • Strong analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to capture and analyze data in a spreadsheet (MS Excel, Google Sheets, etc.) and utilize advanced functions such as pivot tables, lookup tables, and conditional formatting)
  • Has a passion and basic understanding of energy efficiency and distributed energy resource concepts
  • Demonstrate interest in and knowledge of authentic community engagement, including cultural awareness, knowledge and respect of BIPOC, hardtoreach, rural and other demographics related to TEC's mission of serving environmental justice communities
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Valid driver's license, insurance, access to a vehicle and willingness to travel throughout Southern California to attend meetings and events
  • Have an active cell phone plan service
