Job Brief:

We are looking for a seasoned Human Resources and DOT Compliance Manager who is familiar with the unique challenges of the waste removal industry.

Your role will be crucial in maintaining our compliance with DOT regulations and managing HR duties to support our workforce.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy of the waste removal industry.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection and termination processes.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
  • Conduct job evaluations to ensure alignment with industry standards and company policies.
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
  • Stay current with the latest transportation safety and compliance regulations.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to understand staffing needs and hiring and termination strategies.
  • Address employee relations issues, such as work complaints or other employee concerns.
  • Potential opportunity to manage the company's insurance lines.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as an HR Manager, preferably in the waste removal or transportation industry.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
  • Indepth knowledge of DOT compliance and regulations.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Additional certification in transportation safety and compliance is highly desirable.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to Commute:
