We are currently looking for a dynamic
Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator to join our team.

The Ortho Treatment Coordinator (OTC) will interact with patients seeking Orthodontic treatment, addressing their inquiries regarding planned procedures and associated costs.

By ensuring that patients are fully informed about their treatment plans, insurance coverage, and payment options, the OTC plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall patient experience.

- participate in local events such as school health screenings, educational talks, and any opportunities to represent our positive image

  • Engage in team meetings to share appreciation for colleagues, showcase examples of great customer service, and promote a culture of collaboration

Responsibilities:


  • Present Orthodontic treatment plans and provide estimates of treatment expenses effectively
  • Educate patients on the Orthodontist's treatment plan following diagnosis and review by clinical staff
  • Track and monitor payments, follow up with patients as needed
  • Explain, advocate, and uphold company payment policies and procedures
  • Increase treatment acceptance rates by discussing treatment costs, insurance benefits, and financing choices
  • Request patient referrals post-treatment and gauge satisfaction with services rendered
  • Contact patients or guarantors before appointments to confirm payments and schedules
  • Adhere to all legal regulations, company policies, and compliance standards with the utmost integrity
  • Perform other tasks that support the Orthodontist's practice

Qualifications:

Requirements:


  • High School diploma or GED Equivalent required
  • Previous experience in Dental/Orthodontic settings is advantageous (certified Dental Assistant preferred)
  • Minimum of 3+ years of customer service experience is desirable
  • Thorough understanding of Orthodontic practices and treatment planning is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Ability to explain Orthodontic techniques, treatment plans, and CDT codes is highly advantageous
  • Familiarity with dental insurance, coverage limitations, PPO, self-payment procedures, and financing alternatives is beneficial
  • Proficiency in using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) is highly preferred
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a bonus
  • Additional certifications may be necessary based on location
