MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by
an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education

Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of

Education (USDE). Major course work in Computer Science,

Management Information Systems, Electronic Engineering,

Telecommunications Management, or a related field preferred.

Each year of experience as described below in excess of the

required four years may be substituted for thirty semester hours

from an accredited college or university on a year-for-year

basis.


  • Four years full-time, wage-earning experience in installation,
maintenance, and repair of telephone and PBX telecommunications

systems to include cable splicing, cable and wiring installation,

and remote programming moves and changes to electronic key and

digital PBX systems.


  • Corning Fiber Installation (CFI), Corning Fiber Testing and
Troubleshooting (CTT), or an equivalent manufacture certification may

substituted for thirthy semester hours from an accredited college or

university.


  • Experience in the supervision of employees preferred.
  • Experience in the use of Autocad, Microsoft Visio, or equivalent
blueprint programs preferred.

**The salary for an ERS Retiree (or non-contributing member) will

be $5,024.85.**The following Military Occupational Specialty codes are generally

applicable to this position. Applicants must fully complete the

summary of experience to determine if minimum qualifications are met.
