Description

Duties:


  • Seeks, identifies, and develops opportunities and oversees planning of, coordination and execution of complex protocol support.
  • Determines program budget goals and develops directives, plans, and procedures for implementation and compliance.
  • Develop new methods and procedures for protocol program including establish precedent and capture incorporation of lessons learned.
  • Participates in meetings, working group sessions and other venues with a broad range of US and international organizations to develop expanded opportunities for international cooperation in counter drug operations.

Conditions of Employment:


  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 60085, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information eligibility based on a T5 investigation.
  • Must be able and willing to perform temporary duty (TDY) travel (CONUS and OCONUS) 10% or less of the time.

  • In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
  • One year of specialized experience which includes experience working with different entities (e.g., FBI, DEA, DIA, etc.) and partner nation and law enforcement organizations in planning, directing, and monitoring protocol operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS/GG1
  • You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

  • Decision Making
  • Planning and Evaluating

Education:

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
