    The Opportunity:


    The Behavioral & Social Sciences Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott Arizona Campus (ERAU), invites applications for one tenure-track Assistant Professor position.

    A qualified candidate will have expertise in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or Forensic Psychology through at least one of the following:
    doctoral training, research, and/or practice experience.

    The position will begin in August 2024.

    Essential Duties

    The successful candidate will become an integral part the College of Arts & Sciences, with duties that include:


    • Teaching undergraduate courses that serve students across campus.
    • Maintaining a productive program of research.
    • Supervising undergraduate research.
    • Contributing to university, departmental, and professional service.


    ERAU faculty are expected to maintain the highest standards of academic excellence in all phases of instruction, research/scholarship/creative activity, and service.

    The department and its current faculty are committed to the scientist-practitioner approach to education and working side-by-side with students on research and industry collaborations.

    A successful candidate will be committed to the same.

    Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

    Qualifications


    Applicants must hold a doctorate in Criminology, Criminal Justice or Psychology or provide evidence that their degree will be completed by August of 2024.


    Candidates must provide evidence of or the potential to conduct and publish quality research and excel in undergraduate teaching and mentoring.
