Medical Receptionist - College Station, United States - Brazos Valley Women's Center

Description

• Greet and checkin patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
• Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
• Verify patient insurance coverage and collect necessary copays or fees
• Maintain accurate patient records and update medical history as needed
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate department
• Assist with medical billing and coding tasks as required
• Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in medical administration is a plus
• Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role
• Proficient in using dental or medical software systems such as Eaglesoft, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Administrative, Epic
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment
• Familiarity with handling medical records and maintaining confidentiality
