Maintenance Lead - Richmond, VA
1st Shift, Mon-Fri, 7am-3:30pm (optional 8am-4:30pm)
The Maintenance Lead is responsible for performing operations repair, installation and preventative/predictive maintenance on a wide variety of facility machinery, equipment, and systems.
Responsibilities also include examine & troubleshoot equipment to diagnose source of problems, offer solutions, perform repairs, replace broken or defective parts, and make necessary adjustments for operation.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with the maintenance budget preparation.
- Comply with local, state, and federal documentation and control requirements.
- Design/revise SOP's relating to utilities/facilities activities and work with environmental group to prepare required documentation.
- Act as liaison with vendors for technical issues.
- Develop and document preventative maintenance programs for building using SAP Maintenance program.
- Works closely with the EHS group to develop and implement general safety policies and SunCare action items.
- Works with Corp Engineering and acts as site lead for all facility CAP EX projects.
- Perform repair functions to the equipment as required to maintain operation of the facility including general electrical and PLC troubleshooting.
- Purchase equipment, parts and materials required to maintain the facility, equipment and fixtures.
- Assess structure of the building and make recommendations to keep the property in good state of repair.
- Accountable for the daily operations of the facilities management criteria — directing and overseeing those outside contractors for landscaping, etc. and maintaining appropriate logs of activity.
- Seek out better equipment for our tasks when a repeated failure
Education & Experience:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 10+ years of Facilities experience
- Strong analytical and creativity
- Proficient in MS Office software, and PLC/DCS
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in oneonone and small group situations.
- Project Management skills
- Ability to lead a team
