We have an exciting opportunity for an Analyst Staff Accountant with our Controllers Group, located in Cohoes, NY.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, review of ledger postings for accuracy and account reconciliations
Assist associates with inquiries related to the expenses charged to their departments
Preparation of internal and external reports or filings
Participation in year-end audit process including preparation of support for outside auditor
Verification that proper internal controls are maintained in compliance with SOX requirements
Assist with processing of cash receipts and balancing of receivables
Other projects or duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree with concentration in Accounting, Finance, or other related field
One to two years of experience working in accounting, finance, or other related field preferred
Strong knowledge of MS software, particularly MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting
Commitment and ability to manage deadlines and contribute to a dynamic and fast paced office environment
Adept at multi-tasking, able to coordinate several assignments at once
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
