Interim Night Lead Custodian

Reports to Direct Supervisor:
Building Head Custodian

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Head Custodian, the Night Lead Custodian leads and directs the night Custodial staff.

Performs environmental service tasks, cleaning and maintenance of school buildings, minor mechanical repairs, and support services for day and evening school activities.

The Night Lead Custodian assists in providing a safe, comfortable and clean learning environment for students, staff, and faculty.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Cleans and maintains all assigned workspaces
Checks areas on a daily basis to ensure work has been completed.
Assists internal and external groups using facilities. Prepares the gymnasium, classrooms or other areas for athletics, activities and meetings when necessary.
Performs rounds to ensure building security.
Assists with seasonal grounds work as directed.
Performs repair to furniture, equipment and all building systems as directed.
Attends meetings, workshops and training sessions as directed by supervisor.
Monitors facilities for maintenance needs and emergency situations and reports to the Head Custodian.

EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Valid Drivers License

Boiler Black Seal License.

Exceptional Attendance

Required criminal history background check and proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status

Must be NJ resident within one year from date of hire
