Will be working with an experienced team and would like someone to jump straight into the postition with ease.

Must love animals, show compassion and care, and be able to handle all types of conditions (puppy, senior, aggressive, misbehaved, medical issues, etc).

• Minimum of 5 Years of professional experience as a groomer required

*Must have a great attitude, be punctual and reliable

*Must have good handling skills with duties that include bathing and fluff drying, deshedding, dematting, nail trimming, gland expression and cleaning duties, etc.

• Be able to lift medium to large size breeds
• Provide excellent customer service skills and communication skills

*Must be able to take positive critiques regarding Pet Joy's styles of cuts. Management team will mentor and collaborate to train you for success


Responsibilities:

• Provide grooming services to a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, and other small animals
• Perform bathing, brushing, and hair trimming according to client preferences and breed standards
• Trim nails, clean ears, and provide dental care as needed
• Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during grooming sessions
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area
• Communicate with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and address any concerns

Experience:

• Previous experience as a pet groomer or in a related field is required.
• Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming requirements
• Familiarity with various grooming tools and equipment
• Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
• Strong understanding of animal behavior and body language
• Experience in animal restraint techniques

Skills:

• Speed: Able to adjust to the speed of getting 8 dogs cut within the allotted work hours
• Heavy lifting: Ability to lift and carry pets of various sizes and weights (50+ Pounds)
• Pet care: Knowledge of basic pet care retraints and holds
• Animal restraint: Proficiency in safely restraining animals during grooming procedures
• Animal handling: Ability to handle animals gently and confidently while ensuring their safety
• Animal care: Understanding of animal health and wellness, including recognizing signs of distress or illness
• Veterinary technician: Educational background is a plus
• Pet grooming: Proficient in various grooming techniques, including bathing, brushing, clipping, perfect drying techniques and styling
• Dog training: Basic knowledge of dog training principles and techniques
