    Description:

    Supports sales representatives and channel partners in administrative areas such as order processing, customer quotes, sales information management, product training and financing.

    Responsibilities are within the Sales Support and Administration Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines.

    Position responsibilities:

    1. Reviews briefing materials for client calls and meetings from the sales team, anticipating executive managements needs and meeting their expectations; ensures briefing materials are provided in a timely fashion and according to standards.

    2. Identifies trends and competitors in order to assist the sales team, providing detailed reports and information.

    3. Cold calls prospective larger and complex clients and summarizes information.

    4. Develops and presents complex and advanced charts, graphs, tables, and presentations.

    5. Researches and interprets financial and statistical data from a variety of databases for presentation to the sales team, drawing conclusions and trend information.

    6. Develops and drives the implementation of policies and procedures.

    7. Has a deep understanding of the product portfolio.

    Education required: Degree qualified in a related discipline or equivalent work experience

  • Analyzes competitor data and draws conclusions based on analysis of their prices, sales, and method of marketing and distribution. Customer Knowledge and Retention:

  • Navigates the customer organization to understand the customers unique strategic objectives, business challenges and operational processes in order to comprehensively identify and meet customer needs.

  • Identifies customers key decision-makers and networks to gain an understanding of their unique perspectives; maintains customer information in internal sales systems.

  • Identifies valuable customers and ensures retention by recognizing their needs and recommending products/services/ solutions based on those needs. Documenting/Recording Information:

  • Demonstrates proper technique for entering, transcribing, recording, storing, and maintaining complex or nuanced information in written or electronic form. Market Knowledge/Technical Knowledge of Products:

  • Understands the full array of the offerings and areas of expertise, applies this knowledge to meet the needs of the customer.

  • Builds and maintains a thorough working knowledge of products, technologies, offerings, etc.

  • Leverages knowledge of competitors products and services as well as their strengths and weaknesses to compare choices. Relationship Building:

  • Asks clarifying questions on behalf of self and others and ensures everyone has the opportunity to provide input.

  • Embraces customer service as a key driver of success and makes decisions with customers in mind, soliciting customer feedback and actively following-up pre-sale and post-sale.

  • Develops specialized customer expertise and matches customer needs to appropriate solutions across business functions; anticipates customer needs ahead of time and prepares to implement best-practice solutions. Sales Performance Measurement, Analytics and Evaluation:

  • Tests/ validates data accuracy and summarizes data into meaningful information.

  • Uses advanced data analytic techniques to analyze complex data for the benefit of stakeholders.

  • Engages in sales planning, budgeting and monitoring cycle to drive sales result predictability and escalates variances on a timely basis.
