    About the Role

    We are seeking a Senior Manager of Enterprise Risk Management to play a key role in supporting and enhancing our risk management capabilities and system. This role involves collaborating with leadership to refine our enterprise risk management (ERM) model and framework while helping to promote our culture of risk management across HUB. This role reports to the SVP of Enterprise Product, Market, and Integrated Strategy.

    Key Responsibilities

    Risk Management Framework Support . Enhance our current enterprise risk management framework in the context of a changing environment and in alignment with our evolving business and risk landscape. Assist in capturing, quantifying and prioritizing risks including monitoring and mitigation opportunities and actions.

    Risk Assessments . Support the development of risk assessments across financial, operational, strategic, cyber and compliance domains. Assess potential impacts, aiding in informed prioritization and decision-making consistent with our planning process.

    Mitigation Plan Development . Assist in creating and implementing strategic risk mitigation plans, and partner with stakeholders to incorporate risk management considerations into operational and strategic planning.

    Stakeholder Communication . Support communications related to ERM across stakeholders. Engage in initiatives aimed at broadening risk management awareness and practices throughout the organization, fostering a forward-thinking risk-aware culture.

    Crisis Management Plans. Ensure the ERM model contributes to the strengthening of business continuity plans and promotes organizational resilience to potential disruptions.

    Development and Support . Actively participate in further maturing the risk capability, emphasizing learning, improvement and professional development.

    Strategic Project Assistance . Provide support with risk management insights and expertise on strategic projects, ensuring comprehensive risk considerations are integrated throughout.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., MBA) is preferred.

    Minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management and strategy, with substantial exposure to roles that involve supporting or enhancing risk management functions, ideally within the insurance or financial services sectors. Experience in a supportive leadership or managerial capacity.

    Solid understanding of risk management principles, frameworks, and tools, and a demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge in a supportive role to enhance risk management capabilities.

    Strong analytical, quantitative, and strategic thinking abilities. Experience in risk assessment and modeling techniques.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels and contribute to a culture of risk awareness.

    Commitment to team development, with a supportive approach to mentorship and professional growth.

    Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

    This position is located in Chicago on a hybrid work schedule.
