Requirements:

• Exhibits sound theological, biblical, and spiritual development in his/her Christian Walk.
• Degree in children's ministry or related field or 2 years experience in the same field.
• Effective planner to ensure that people, events, and logistics come together as required.
• Willingness to learn programs such as Proclaim, Planning Center, and Text in Church
• Good communication (verbal/writing) and team building skills
• Active in church ministries (preferred)

The intent of the position is to plan all events and participate in at least 2-3 events
per month on the weekend, then have part time assistants execute the remainder.

• Plans & executes (periodically) Children's Church during 9 & 11 am service
• Plans & executes (periodically) weekly youth events
• Plans & coordinates volunteers for 2 Youth Sleepovers (camp, lockin, etc) per year
• Coordinates, plans and oversees and schedules volunteers for annual events

○ Vacation Bible School to include curriculum

○ Family events (Easter Egg Hunt, Trunk or Treat, Field Day)

• Supervisor for part time staff assistants (nursery, children, youth)

○ CPR / First Aid, Safe Sanctuaries, and adhere to state regulations

○ Provide weekly curriculum to use

○ Gather work hours and submit for payment

• Plans & executes (periodically) Pre-Teen Ministry Program Monthly (e.g. Jump Kids)
• Plans & coordinates volunteers or executes Mom's Group meeting
• Plans and executes special service events for children (Christmas Program, Children's Sabbath,

Easter, VBS Sundays)

• Executes Francis Asbury Preschool Chapel Duties
• Meets with the Pastor weekly for guidance and prioritization
• Attend staff meeting
• Attend Church Council, Preschool Board, and 2 x Preschool Events
• Other requirements

○ Holds published office hours at the church while doing admin functions above

○ Meet with Pastor to discuss Children's Ministry Future Planning

○ Provide annual Children's Ministry Budget to Pastor/Finance committee in October.

○ Manage budget for part time assistants to execute events and train those personnel

○ Recruit volunteers to help execute Children's Ministry programs

$22, $40,000.00 per year
