- Supervise and lead the quality control team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management, to ensure accurate and timely execution of quality assurance activities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer specifications.
- Conduct inspections and audits of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to verify conformance to quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics departments to identify and address quality issues, non-conformities, and root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of quality control tests, inspection results, and non-conformities, and prepare reports and documentation for regulatory agencies, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, including defect rates, customer complaints, and quality incidents, and identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, quality improvement projects, and process optimization efforts to enhance product quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct training and provide guidance to production and quality control staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent adherence to quality requirements.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory updates, and technological advancements in quality assurance and food safety, and recommend and implement improvements to quality systems and processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control roles, with at least [insert number] years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, practices, and techniques, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA).

- Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office Suite and quality management software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and operational demands.
- Certification in quality management or related fields (e.g., Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Technician) is a plus.
