SUMMARY:
This part-time position is primarily responsible for collections of past due customer accounts.

This position requires the ability to learn quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with account managers and upper management to resolve balances and customer inquiries as needed.
  • Reconcile customer disputes and resolve all A/Rrelated issues with a customer serviceoriented mindset.
  • Being vigilant about collections, including researching/troubleshooting client data discrepancies and escalating as needed.
  • Interact professionally and calmly with customers who dispute balances.
  • Understand collections processes, timelines, and appropriate practices.
  • Understand complex contract and pricing arrangements with customers to verify balances are correct and collections efforts are in accordance with the contract.
  • Maintaining an acceptable days sales outstanding (DSO) levels by enforcing the existing company collection policy.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines, which involves strong planning, organization, and problemsolving skills.
  • Work comfortably and independently in a fastpaced environment.
  • Attend all company and department meetings.
  • Commitment to company core values.
  • All other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 1 year of collections experience is preferred.
  • A Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is preferred.
  • An intermediatelevel experience with Excel.
  • Experience with Acumatica or any other ERP system is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Thrives in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a minimum of one year experience in accounting or an accounting-related role.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
