    Pay:
    $60, $81,127.61 per hour

    Compensation range for the roles is listed above.

    Applicable salary rangers may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses, equity, and commissions.


    The Role:
    The

    Manufacturing & Quality Assurance Engineer

    will plan, organize, and prioritize the maintenance and upkeep of assigned equipment and processes within the lab network.

    They will support implementation of shared services and databases related to all assigned equipment and processes including the testing and introduction of new technology and processes for the lab network and contract lab network.

    Additionally, they will train and evaluate staff to achieve and maintain performance and quality standards.


    The Manufacturing & Quality Assurance Engineer will also support, recommend, and assist in cost-reduction projects involving production machinery, production processes, and maintenance.

    Job Specifications;

    Standardize assigned equipment set-up, processes, and consumables throughout the network

    Create and maintain standard machine set-ups and databases for specified areas, within the network

    Assist in and manage development and set-up of new processes and products in the network labs

    Negotiate with equipment and service vendors on specifications, pricing, and agreements

    Manage vendor repair and maintenance services for equipment throughout the lab network

    Coordinate and manage vendors and network labs on installation of new equipment

    Establish and Implement standards with contract labs to enable quality control of VSP proprietary products

    Train and mentor the activities of team members to assure compliance with procedures, and achievement of performance and quality standards; provide prompt and objective coaching and counseling

    Develop and implement cost-effective preventative maintenance programs that reduce down-time to acceptable levels

    Train personnel on-site on machinery and equipment operation and upkeep

    Coordinate across the lab network to facilitate special requests and facility equipment issues


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.

    4+ years of experience in all operations in one of the following areas:
    Coating, Finishing, Surfacing, or Maintenance

    Demonstrated experience leading and training employees in the use of technical equipment

    Demonstrated experience with computerized machine control equipment

    Excellent attention to detail

    Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

    Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)

    Experience using Manufacturing modeling and simulation software

    Optical Manufacturing

    Experience with surfacing technology or milling equipment in a manufacturing or engineering environment
