Principle Functions:

The Education Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of The Source's education program, including pregnancy education, childbirth class, parenting education and any additional enrichment programming and guest speakers (both English and Spanish programs).

This role includes teaching weekly group classes, taking individual EWYL appointments and helping manage the distribution of material assistance and education incentives Additionally, the Education Coordinator will be responsible for training and managing volunteer instructors.


Qualifications:


  • Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
  • Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of human life and sexual purity.
  • Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith and policies of the center.
  • Bachelor's degree in a help field.
  • Experience in adult education, preferred.
  • Bilingual, required.
  • Be selfmotivated, dependable and responsible.
  • Organized and selfmotivated; able to work productively with little supervision.
  • Exhibit strong leadership, management and organizational skills, as well as understanding of faithbased nonprofit programs.
  • The ability to select, develop and motivate people and create a positive work and volunteer environment.
  • The ability to resolve problems quickly and effectively and determine appropriate courses of action, which are then reported to the Clinic Director in the assigned location.
  • Must be flexible and have well developed interpersonal skills.

Essential Job Functions

  • Teach weekly group and individual education classes, including pregnancy and parenting education.
  • Inventory all current education materials and ensure TTF approval. Resubmit items needing updates and pull curriculum that is not approved.
  • Review current curriculum and present updates, changes, and new curriculum suggestions to the Director.
  • Submit all new education materials approved by the Director to TTF for review.
  • Identify areas of concern in classroom procedures and program initiatives; report proposed changes to Director.
  • Complete required training for TTF.
  • Enter data into client database in a timely manner and report problems to Director.
  • Follow procedures to refrain from offering Spiritual Counseling when teaching an TTF classes.
  • Reporting weekly statistics of class attendance to Director.
  • Oversee enrollment and processing of clients taking pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting classes, including: initial invitation, confirmation of enrollment and welcome call.
  • If applicable, for inperson classes, ensure the classroom is clean and ready to receive clients before each class; tidy up the classroom after class.

Volunteer Management

  • Train and supervise volunteer instructors.
  • Provide media/print resources for volunteer instructors.
  • Organize and distribute educational supplies, including instructor notebooks, etc.
  • Set up media required for facilitation of each class.
  • Pray & encourage volunteer instructors at the beginning & end of each shift.
  • Inform volunteer instructors of new initiatives & changes; identify training needs to Director.
  • Write handwritten thank you notes, birthday & sympathy cards to education volunteers.

General

  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Assist in special events, including annual fundraisers, community fairs, and church presentations, as needed.
  • Establish positive working relationships with staff members and volunteers.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
