JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
The
Midwest Asian Health Association (MAHA) has an immediate job opening for a full-time Health Program

Manager for the Immunization, Health Screening, Navigator, and Hepatitis B/Perinatal programs.


Typical Duties:


  • Expand, sustain, and coordinate multisector English and Chinese speaking COVID19 coalition(s)
  • Engage key partners in ongoing joint planning, coordination, and evaluation activities
  • Oversee project data collection activities, data analysis, and evaluation
  • Oversee Navigator and health screening, immunization, and education programs
  • Assist the coalition in planning for prevention strategies that fit the neighborhood environment and needs of Chinatown and surrounding communities.
  • Assist the coalition in implementing evidencebased and culturally competent prevention and education outreach strategies
  • Coordinate and perform educational outreach, health screening, testing and vaccination activities in the community
  • Develop and implement a dissemination plan with diverse delivery channels and methods
  • Develop progress reports for submission to funding agencies.
  • Attend local, state, and national trainings as required by the grant.
  • Supervise and mentor staff and interns.
  • Carry out projectrelated administrative responsibilities and perform other duties as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


Education:
Master's in public health, education, social work, or other equivalent degree preferred. Bachelor's degree in science or social sciences field required.


Experience and Qualifications:


  • Minimum of three years of public health or related professional experience
  • Experience in organizing, coordinating, and managing grantbased programs and supervising data collection activities.
  • Strong analytical skills, understanding of research methods, and collecting and reporting data
  • Experience networking and collaborating with community partners, schools, funding agencies, and health departments
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, comfortable with public speaking and presentations
  • Flexible working hours with the ability to work independently and occasionally on weekends
  • Experience managing and mentoring staff and/or interns
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and professionalism in the workplace
