This role is responsible for the direct field management of large and small construction jobs under the direction of a Project Manager / Construction Estimator.

The position is a combination of construction labor needed to put work in place for a construction project and the field management of that construction project.


Specific Responsibilities

:

Must have proficiency and working knowledge in: Carpentry, Drywall repair, Painting, Concrete placement and finishing, Understanding of doors and door hardware, building layout. Commercial / Industrial experience is required.

  • Understanding of the (16) Divisions of Construction.
  • Understanding of the most current version of the state adopted building codes like The International Building Code (IBC), ANSI 117.1 Standard Accessible And Usable Buildings And Facilities, and National Fire Protection Association Code (NFPA), the ability to read those codes, and make decisions on how those codes effect projects.
  • Ability to read, understand and put in place items for construction listed on, architectural, structural, site, mechanical, plumbing, sprinkler, electrical, fire alarm, and misc. prints to include product cut sheets and submittals.
  • Coordinate job change order requests and change order creation with the Properties Estimator / Project Manager for both clients and subcontractors and process all change orders in a timely fashion through the company recognized estimating and project management software.
  • Read and follow subcontracts and purchase orders to ensure the correct contractor scope of work and schedules are being followed on a given project.
  • Attend project meetings with the office staff, subcontractors, and clients to discuss job status, scheduling, general information, employee needs, etc.
  • Respond to client needs and issues through a process of meeting with client and communicating solutions until final notification is given of issue resolution.

Education & Experience

:


  • Trade School degree or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years of handson field experience in the commercial building construction and or commercial building maintenance industry.
  • Construction management experience.

$ $32.00 per hour
