SECURITY SPECIALIST
TEMPORARY TO PERMANENT FULL-TIME

Looking for a motivated individual who is available to work both the day shift (0430am-11:30am) & swing shift (1100am-7:30pm)


Our undisclosed Cannabis Company is seeking a dynamic Security Specialist PREFERABLY WITH MILITARY AND/OR LAW ENFORCEMENT backgrounds with the ability to adapt to various work-paces while always maintaining a high level of attentiveness and energy.

DUTIES:
Essential Functions


The Security Specialist, under the guidance of the Security Manager, operates and functions in assigned areas such as a Security Control Center.

Duties include being stationed inside the control center viewing CCTV and conducting access control procedures. Security Specialist must perform all duties in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures and State of California regulations. Respond in a timely manner to emergent events, initiates preliminary investigations and write incident reports on all internal issues.

All Security Specialists are required to operate as a team working towards a common goal; to maintain the safety and integrity of all employees and the safety of the facility.

Watch for unusual activity.

Operate as an emergency response team.

Liaise and interact with local law enforcement.

Liaise and interact with members of the local community.

Safeguards and maintains highly sensitive and confidential information.

Conducts ongoing threat, risk, and vulnerability assessments.

Will maintain a high level of physical fitness and personal appearance.

Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

Investigate and report maintenance and safety conditions which might endanger the client, its associates, or public safety.

Ensure that daily administrative documentation is always kept concise and complete. Maintain all daily assigned equipment in functional and presentable condition.

Respond to all requests relayed by supervision or the client. Complete various company or client assignments as required. Submit reports to the Security Supervisor and or Operations Manager.

Investigate security related accidents/incidents, interview witnesses, complaints, and victims. Responsible for gathering physical evidence and preserving it for future use. Complete reports and follow up with management as needed.

Administers first aid treatment to and arranges for transport of sick or injured persons to a medical facility.


Provides protective services by conducting periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.

Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.

Prepares logs and reports as required.

Responsible for ensuring that all employees on company property have proper company-issued identification and uniforms.

Ensure that the client, its associates, and facility personnel are provided with a safe and professional work environment.


SPECIALIST QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires STRONG CCTV operational skills

EXCELLENT COMPUTER SKILLS and LITERACY with an emphasis in Google platforms

Open availability including Weekends and Holidays


ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
GED or High School Diploma (required)

Must be eligible for employment within the United States

Must be a minimum of 21 years old

Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Minimum one year of armed security experience

A clean or satisfactory driving record

California BSIS Guard Card (required)

California Exposed Firearms Permit (preferred)

Ability to communicate and effectively interact with co-workers, managers, subordinates, and the public sufficiently to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction

Ability to effectively respond to issues both verbally and in writing

Ability to motivate employees to take desired action

Demonstrated exceptional results in a client-service role; professional and positive communication style is essential

Confidence is a must

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Demonstrate ability to work well under pressure with a proactive approach to unusual occurrences.
