    Job DescriptionPosition Description:
    The Data Analyst (SQL / Tableau) delivers focused reporting and business analytics.

    This position partners with the requestor to understand business problems/challenges and creates meaningful and creative solutions to address these problems/challenges.

    Primary responsibilities include development of departmental and ad hoc reports in SQL tools as well as Tableau.


    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
    \tDevelops reports and data analysis using advanced functionality within Microsoft SQL tools, Tableau or other reporting applications.
    \tDesigns, develops, delivers and maintains efficient reports, visualizations and dashboard solutions to enhance end users understanding of information.
    \tPrepares and presents concise summaries to explain findings, limitations and recommendations based upon actionable insight.
    \tAct as subject matter expert in discussions with various source systems, other subject matter experts and downstream users to identify, define and implement data requirements.
    \tAssist in reviewing and analyzing DOH, Security and HIPAA requirements; provide updates to IT systems to accommodate.
    \tProvide support as directed to assist other internal teams in accomplishing work as it relates to HHUNY systems.
    \tPerform other duties as assigned.


    Required software, applications, and systems:
    Knowledge of database design techniques and advanced SQL
    Tableau
    Microsoft Visual Studios SSIS
    Microsoft SSRS
    Microsoft Access with VB experience
    Ability to support Excel Macros

    Minimum Qualifications:
    \tBachelor's degree in a related discipline such as Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Engineering required
    \tMinimum of 2 years' experience in data analysis, information systems, and/or IT
