- Performs requirements analysis, technical planning, documentation updates, system integration, verification and validation for space systems.
- Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, test, installation, operation and maintenance.
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Interact with senior program managers, customers, and peers on system architecture, development approaches, and business strategies.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. In order to obtain a clearance, you need to be a U.S. Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 8 years of related work experience.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience designing and developing software-based systems, especially with TT&C software products
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in systems specification: Concept of Operations, Interface Control Definitions, Requirements / Use Cases / User Stories, System Test Plans
- Experience in multiple disciplines including hardware, software, and networks.
- Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering with one or more SysML tools
- Experience with the SAFe/Agile/ Software Development Life Cycle
- Understanding of DevSecOps practices and CI/CD methodologies
- 10-15 years of related work experience
- Experience in space systems technologies and support equipment
- Experience replacing a legacy operational system with a modernized solution
- Experience with development toolsets such as Git, Gradle, Jira, BitBucket, and Crucible.
- Understanding of RF and optical communications links
- Understanding of NIST cybersecurity framework and application to DoD and commercial applications
