ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking a
System Engineer
in Melbourne, FL to provide system engineering for Satellite Mission Planning and Scheduling applications.
Work will include analysis of system requirements; the derivation of software requirements to implement the software design; and support for the testing and deploying of these applications into an AWS Cloud environment.
This will require the candidate to work with the Agile team to plan, implement and demonstrate capability in an ongoing basis per the Agile Sprint cycles.
Candidate will have the ability to communicate and present engineering concepts to the program team.Responsibilities :
Derivation and analysis of the system requirements for mission planning and scheduling software applications, to include system design, oversight of the implementation and testing of these applications using an Agile development methodology in a cloud environment.
The system engineer will be responsible for the delivery of these applications using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for build and deployment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications :
BS degree (or equivalent) with 2-4 years of related work experience M.S. Degree with 0-2 years of related experience; H.S. Diploma/ GED with 6-8 years of related experience
Minimum of 2 years' experience with Agile software development methodology for the design, implementation, and testing of software applications.
Expertise in data structures and algorithms
Position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain polygraph,
Desired Qualifications :
Experience with mission planning and scheduling systems.
Experience with the Amazon Web Services cloud architecture associated with cloud development.
Proficient in MS Office (3 years' experience creating technical documents).
Proficient communication and organization skills to interact with internal company contacts and customers.
Familiarity with the Agile Product Development Cycle, modern DevSecOps practices and short release cycles.
Experience in delivering Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for software deployment.
Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment.
