Key Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must have (or be able to obtain) a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret-SCI clearance
  • Some travel may be required
  • Selectee will be required to complete a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE450 annually
  • Selectee will be required to complete form FD887, Request for Access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

Mission Statement:

The mission of the FBI is to protect the American People and uphold the Constitution of the United States.


Major Duties:


  • Attends and promotes the FBI at recruitment activities such as university career fairs and/or recruiting conferences and conducts professional presentations at applicant information sessions.
  • Identifies analyzes, and provides recommendations to resolve issues that may affect the FBI's goals and objectives to recruit the best qualified and diverse applicants.
  • Provides guidance to both external and onboard applicants regarding their intake and background processing.
  • Assists with scheduling/coordinating eAPP invites, Personnel Security Interviews, polygraphs, and medical appointments as well as review SF86s and conduct fingerprints, drug tests, and interviews.
  • Establishes and maintains a network of internal and external contacts to administer the recruitment/applicant coordination programs and obtain recruitment leads.
  • Reviews multiple data sources in order to analyze staffing data to inform leadership on recruiting and hiring trends.

Specialized Experience (SE):

GS 9:
Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 7 grade level.


SE is defined as follows:

  • Assisted with scheduling and/or coordinated preemployment background investigations.

GS 11:
Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 9 grade level.


SE is defined as follows:

  • Researched conferences and recruitment events and determined the best events to attend.
  • Researched, organized, attended, presented, and interviewed at various recruitment events.
  • Compiled and prepared reports pertaining to the recruitment plan and forecasting hiring goals.

Education
All degrees must be from an accredited college or university.

Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:


GS 9:

Applicant must have a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B.

or J.D., if related.


GS 11:
Applicant must have a Ph.
D.

OR equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related.


Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements provided you can show foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.
