***: The Accounts Payable Clerk will support the Finance department with routine and non-routine duties focused on reviewing and verifying vendor invoices, coding and processing employee travel and expense credit card charges, processing payments, reconciling invoices and record keeping.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Process check requests and expense reports on a regular basis
  • Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices
  • Maintain a large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Perform data entry associated with accounts payable
  • Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies
  • Audit and process credit card bills
  • Address and respond to vendor inquiries

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Education High school diploma required; Associates degree preferred


Experience and/or Training

  • 23 years experience with accounts payable or general accounting
  • Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Strong analytic abilities
  • Uphold and exhibit the agency's Core Values
  • Attend all mandatory meetings and trainings
  • Ability to work a fulltime schedule and have regular attendance at the workplace
  • All other workrelated duties as assigned
  • Work in the NY office at least 1 day a week (Thursday required)

SALARY AND BENEFITS:


  • Annual salary range: $43, ,000
  • 22 PTO (vacation, sick, wellness and personal days) your first year of employment (5 additional days 2nd year)
