This ensures a mutually beneficial relationship that helps to encourage a deep and meaningful connection- like getting a little help from your friendsSeniors Helping Seniors caregivers also help with daily tasks like personal care, light house cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, medication reminders, grocery shopping, and transportation to and from appointments or social events.
Additionally, we offer 24/7 support for those with more advanced needs, as well as specialized assistance for individuals with Alzheimers and Dementia.
We are looking for caregivers that are interested in learning and growing their skills within the senior care industry. Our Companion Caregivers are not only reliable, dependable and honest, but also compassionate and caring.RESPONSIBILITIESProviding companionship and conversationAssisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, bathroom needs, and feedingPerforming light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and linen changingLaying out clothes and assisting with dressingPlanning and preparing mealsProviding medication remindersProviding transportation to and from appointmentsHelping family members learn safe care techniquesQUALIFICATIONSMature individuals who consistently demonstrate patience, empathy, reliability, professionalism, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm, are personable, and 50+ years old preferred (helps with compatibility and matching clients with caregivers).Willingness to work harmoniously with staff, clients, and clients families.
Legal resident of the U.S.Ability to treat clients with dignity and respectAbility to interpret the clients provided plan of careValid California Drivers License, Clean Driving Record with no more than 2 moving violations, and a dependable Vehicle with Current Auto Insurance is required for most positions.
Some exceptions may apply.Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situationsTolerance to small pets (i.e. dogs and/or cats)Must be able to be reached via phone or email for shift schedules, client updates and/or emergenciesAbility to sit, stand, bend, lift up to 25 pounds, and move intermittently during working hours.
Able-bodied is a mustCalifornia law requires all caregivers to pass a background check with the Department of Justice and FBI (via LiveScan fingerprint process).
