THE FREE LIBRARY OF PHILADELPHIA FOUNDATION:

The Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that supports the city of Philadelphia's public library system.

Increasingly, the Library relies on private support to provide the critical programs and resources necessary to advance literacy, guide learning and inspire curiosity throughout the Philadelphia region.

***: The Membership Engagement Coordinator is a key role in the Foundation's Individual Philanthropy team. This role reports to and collaborates with the Interim Director of Individual Philanthropy.


The Membership Engagement Coordinator ensures the benefit fulfillment of the Foundation's membership societies, which includes effective coordination of key membership events and maintains a donor-centric fundraising plan that builds and diversifies donors' philanthropic support of the Free Library Foundation, including planned giving programs.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Work closely with the Interim Director of Individual Philanthropy and others to move forward membership plans and strategies.
  • Fulfill membership acknowledgement letters and membership renewal reminders.
  • Work with donors, members, and prospects throughout the process from identification through qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Assist with Major Gift outreach activity tracking and planning as needed.
  • Is a key figure in the creation and execution of the annual Development report.
  • Additional responsibilities include fostering a culture of philanthropy mindset, actively engaging in fundraising efforts organized or attended by staff, and promoting the organization's mission and values in and outside the organization including but not limited to supporting the mission of the Foundation by promoting membership and promoting and attending events when appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Experience of at least one year within an Events, Development, Advancement, or Communications team is preferred
  • Meticulous organizational skills
  • Experience in project management a plus
  • Ability to meet competing deadlines and shift priorities
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Thoughtful writing and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders, with an instinct to overcommunicate with an exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a predisposition to patience, understanding, and respect for processes and best practices.
  • Takes pride in superior levels of service to donors and members, including managing expectations, troubleshooting, and resolving problems.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively as a teamplayer.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience of at least one year within an Events, Development, Advancement, or Communications team is preferred

Pay:
$50, $55,000.00 per year
