Description

As our Mill Manager you will manage all milling and packaging operations to ensure established goals and objectives are achieved.

This position is responsible for communicating and coordinating with internal and external teams regarding rice supply, new products quality, continuous improvement, and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Providing leadership to the Mill and Packaging team in to ensure key performance results are achieved, including company objectives for financial profitability, manufacturing variances, safety, quality, sustainability, and cost center budgets.
Ensuring proper repair and maintenance of department equipment.
Developing, implementing, and maintaining operational policies and procedures that further and support objectives.
Responsible for driving issues to root cause and developing a zeroloss mentality.
Coordinating with Sales and Operations Planning team, Dryer and Storage, Quality, Engineering, and other manufacturing departments to ensure all objectives are met.
Facilitating development and implementation of new products and packaging processes, products, and systems by providing information, ideas, and recommendations based on knowledge and experience in production.
Responsible for supporting department's capital budget and execution of projects.
Conducting annual performance assessments. Coaching and developing staff by providing an environment that encourages innovation and professional development.
Fostering an environment of collaboration that encourages team members to contribute and feel heard, while also ensuring each team member understands their individual responsibilities and deadlines and follows up with them as needed.

Work Environment:

Work area is usually in an inside environment with moderate temperatures and low background noise.
Periodic travel, 10% or less, to production and supply partners, continuing education, and trade shows.
25 years of relevant operations leadership experience, preferred in agricultural commodity processing and packaging.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Milling Science, Food Science, Operations or related field; four years additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Demonstrated ability to lead a large organization to deliver business needs.
Indepth knowledge of milling and packaging equipment and systems, including maintenance activities.
Ability to work flexible timeframes across shifts when needed.
