    This job listing is for a Mechanical Engineer position at a leading company.

    Summary:
    The Mechanical Engineer plays a crucial role in developing and enhancing mechanical designs, drawings, and PCB outlines for new product development and improvements. Their main focus is creating innovative Battery/Electronic Packaging Designs customized for aerospace applications. Proficiency in 3-D modeling and thermal and stress simulation tools is essential to ensure design integrity.

    Key Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
    2. Demonstrated experience of 7+ years in mechanical design, documentation, and electronic assembly packaging (5+ years with relevant work experience)
    3. Proficient in SolidWorks CAD & PDM for design

    Additional Requirements:
    The ideal candidate should have:

    • Expertise in design, documentation, and assembly instructions of electronic components
    • Experience in creating detailed mechanical drawings
    • Knowledge of aerospace standards like DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461 (Preferred)
    • Advanced skills in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) best practices
    • Ability to use thermal and stress simulation tools (SolidWorks, Flotherm, Ansys, etc.)
    • Understanding of Welds, Solder, and Interconnect techniques
    • Experience with Static and Dynamic FEA models
    • Positive attitude and teamwork skills

    Primary Responsibilities:
    The individual in this role will be responsible for:

    • Designing mechanical components and packaging electronics for primary and backup battery power units and chargers
    • Collaborating with Electrical and PCB Layout Engineers
    • Creating assembly drawings and wire lists/diagrams
    • Conducting design verification and tolerance checks
    • Performing thermal and stress assessments
    • Contributing insights during Design Reviews
    • Generating and revising engineering drawings and parts lists
    • Creating assembly drawings as per Component Maintenance Manuals
    • Assisting in unit transfer from engineering to manufacturing
    • Participating in cost reduction efforts
