    What you'll Do at Vincentian
    In collaboration with supervisory staff, the Teaching Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the planning, development, and implementation of all classroom activities that promote the social, spiritual, physical, and intellectual growth of the children at the Center. The individual will be responsible for the care, hygiene, learning, and development activities, specialized programs, and sanctioned discipline of the children. Additional responsibilities include maintaining records, cleanliness, and orderliness of the classroom.

    • Complies with federal, state and local laws and regulations to which the Center is held responsible.
    • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
    • Prioritizes classroom activities and uses time efficiently.
    • Easily adaptable in the work environment and is able to deal with change, delays or unexpected events.
    • Must be dependable and able to complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner.
    • Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing with children, parents, co-workers, management and/or other individuals at the Center.
    • Works effectively and relates well to others including children, parents, co-workers, management and/or other individuals at the Center.
    • Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships.
    • Is energetic, forward-thinking and creative.
    • Responds effectively to sensitive and confidential situations, inquiries or complaints.
    • Most importantly, all of our teaching assistants are required to have FUN at work

    Work Environment
    Indoor classroom temperatures are that of a normal indoor environment. Outdoor temperatures may be as low as 25 degrees in the winter or reach as high as 90 degrees in the summer. Some humidity/wet conditions may be present. Noise conditions are normal but may reach moderate or loud levels during some activities. Occasional exposure to unpleasant sights, smells, infectious diseases, blood and bodily fluids. and bodily fluids.
