Your responsibilities:


  • You will primarily support our team with research projects in the areas of Object Detection, Domain Adaptation, or

Transfer Learning:
conducting new research, summarizing existing research, and scientific writing.

  • You will work on developing and maintaining an expandable ML pipeline within a collaborative software team (e.g. implementing, tuning, and validating ML models in Python and specifically PyTorch).
  • You will perform traditional data science tasks such as data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, and visualization.
  • You will assist with administrative tasks such as client presentations and documentation.

Your qualifications:


  • You are currently enrolled in a master's program or in the final stages of your bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • You have a working knowledge of Python and experience with ML frameworks, particularly PyTorch.
  • You have practical experience handling and analyzing image and/or tabular data (preprocessing, analysis, visualization).
  • You have a strong understanding of ML and statistical concepts.
  • You have a keen interest in current ML research and knowledge of the field.
  • You are proactive and able to work independently.
  • You have experience with collaborative software development or a strong desire to learn (git, CI/CD, slurm).
  • You have excellent English skills or excellent German skills and solid English skills.
