- Entry of all financial transactions, posting, journal entries, adjustment, trial balances and monthly financials
- Prepare financial reports, statements, analysis and maintain financial schedules for three legal entities.
- Collection of accounts receivable and payable, including entry of receipts, bank deposits and solving discrepancies on accounts and invoices
- Manage ongoing expenses, cash flows and budgets by reconciling expenses, reviewing and analyzing of financial results
- Cash management and preparation of the weekly cash forecast
- Monitor the liquidity and advise senior management on financing to support working capital requirements and capital improvement projects.
- Participate in weekly management meetings to review cash forecast, dashboard report and monthly financial statement variance review with management
- Ensures that the company complies with all governmental and tax reporting requirements, including filing supports and returns
- Leads the annual budget process working with other managers to gather data and ensures a process completed and President and CEO agree on budgets.
- Processing of payroll, including commissions pay
- Reviews all covenants and conditions relating to bank relationships
- Assist the management team in assessing strategic business decisions by providing pro forma forecasts, financial modelling, financing requirements and other analyses
- Minimum 6+ years' experience in accounting in a retail/wholesale environment
- Extensive experience with computer-based applications including spreadsheets, database and other analysis tools as well as ERP software
- Strong computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
