Sports Instructors needed for Summer Sports classes at Fort McDowell Recreation Center. We offer a multi-sport camp program where kids can develop skills in various sports and athletic activities.
If you're an athlete, educator, or simply enjoy working with children, this could be a great fit for you. There's potential for this role to become a long-term part-time position.
Schedule:
- Work Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Times: 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Dates:
- May 2 - July 25, 2024
Sports:
Instructors will be involved in various sports such as:
- Soccer
- Basketball
- Volleyball
- Football
- BIG personalities
- Works well in a team
- Excellent communication
- Loud and energetic
- Wellrounded in sports
- Reliable and punctual
- 1 year teaching or coaching experience preferred
- Part-time or seasonal availability
Requirements:
- Commit to Tuesdays and Thursdays 12 pm to 4:00 pm from 5/28 to 7/2
- CPR and First Aid certification before the start date
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 40 lbs., and transport equipment
Responsibilities:
- Lead curriculum-based activities for multiple sports
- Set up sports equipment
- Instruct with focus on skill improvement
- Ensure safe and organized activities
- Supervise groups up to 16 children
Location: Fort McDowell Recreation Center: 16402 N Fort McDowell Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85264
Job Type: Part-time, Seasonal
- Pay: $18.00 per hour

Experience:
- Childcare: 1 year preferred
- Sports coaching: 1 year preferred
- Teaching: 1 year preferred
License/Certification:
- First Aid Certification preferred
- CPR Certification preferred
