JOB OPPORTUNITY:

Currently, we have three part-time 30-hour-a-week Library Aide positions open. Two in our Circulation Services division and one at the West Branch.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


A typical way of gaining the knowledge, skills, and ability for this position is equivalent to graduation from high school.

No experience is required.

Other requirements include being able to work evenings and weekends.

Performs a wide range of physical motions, which may include routine and repetitive bending, reaching, pushing, moving, and carrying library materials.

Must have sufficient strength to repeatedly lift books weighing between 1 to 10 pounds, including overhead lifting, to load transit boxes, book bins, and push book trucks weighing in excess of 50 pounds.

The exam process will include, but may not be limited to:

  • Application review for minimum qualifications and required documents
  • Review of Supplemental Questionnaire
  • In-Person Performance Exam (Tentatively scheduled for June 3rd, June 5th, and June 10th)
