General Description of Position:
The Student Accounts Specialist is responsible for accurately recording the invoicing and payments for Student Accounts through FACTS for
Dream City Christian School. Manage the collection process to ensure mínimal losses.


Qualifications:
This person should understand the confidentiality necessary in this position.

This person shall have or be able to obtain the skills necessary to record charges and payments within the FACTS accounting system.

This person should have knowledge of accounting and financial procedures. Experience of a minimum of two years accounting plus any accounting classes are a plus but not mandatory. High level of communication skills is required.


Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all aspects of student tuition and related services of accounts receivable.
• Ensures that each student is assessed proper charges for tuition.
• Prepares and ensures accuracy of bank deposits.
• Prepare and post approved student account adjustments as necessary.
• Receives and process all in house payments.
• Manages and ensures compliance with School Tuition Organizations (STO's)
• Process tuition account refunds due to overpayment or withdrawal.
• Consistent evaluation of aging accounts.
• Counsels families on financial matters by phone or in person.
• Manages and maintains all processes regarding collections.
• Submits write-off's for discharged accounts to director.
• Processes donation receipt and letters.
• Performs other responsibilities and duties as directed by the Finance Director.

Physical Requirements:

May require climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Incumbents may be exposed to bodily fluids.
