Description
TAB Field Technician Job Responsivities
• Take a proactive approach in participating in the company's NEBB and/or AABC TAB Technician Training Program to ensure all required NEBB and/or AABC and company standards and practices are maintained. The company's educational program for TAB Technician Training was implemented to ensure team member success and increased customer satisfaction through project consistency.
• Inspect systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications and to detect potential or existing malfunctions in system components.
• Adjust systems for meeting the required settings through performance testing.
• Testing the performance of air and hydronic systems.
• Read and interpret project mechanical drawings, specifications, and equipment performance data to determine proper balancing techniques and project management approaches.
• Prepare each project by conducting a system design review and assembling the required test forms for documentation purposes.
• Maintain proper documentation of daily activities using project specific reporting procedures. All Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing performed, and any issues discovered are to be addressed fully using clear verbiage and accompanied with supporting documentation (as required).
Requirements
• Mathematical proficiency is a necessity for completing basic and advanced equations associated with Air and Hydronic balancing.
• Continuously educate oneself to become capable of performing assigned tasks without direct, full-time supervision.
• Ability to review and understand mechanical, plumbing, control schematics, and other documents associated with projects.
• Ability to read and understand the statement of work (SOW) for each project.
Education Requirements
• High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent.
Conditions of Employment
• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check
• Ability to successfully pass pre-employment drug screen
