We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our bustling neurology outpatient practice with a focus on brain injury, neuromuscular, and general neurology.
This role requires a compassionate professional who is adept at managing a diverse patient load and contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional patient care.
Job Type:
Starting as Part Time (20 hours a week)
Hourly Range:
$ $85.00 per hour (based on experience)
Essential Duties
- Maintain ongoing tracking and appropriate documentation on referrals to promote team awareness and ensure patient safety.
- Ensure complete and accurate registration, including patient demographic and current insurance information.
- Assemble information concerning patient's clinical background and referral needs. Per referral guidelines, provide appropriate clinical information to referring physician.
- Ensure prior approval requirements are met, including insurance eligibility.
- Review details and expectations about the referral with patients.
- Ensure that referrals are addressed in a timely manner.
- Ensure the patient's chart is up to date with information on physician notes, consults, hospitalizations, ER visits, and test results.
- Checks all pages in the record to verify correct patient information.
- Interprets and implements policies relating to disclosure of confidential patient medical information.
- Analyzes and answers correspondence requests in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements/statutes.
Experience:
- Be up to date with all state mandated certifications.
- Experience with neurology or pain management a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience with EHR, Allscripts and Epic is an asset.
- Current CA NP license
